Our Music Therapy Services

Transforming Lives Through the Power of Music

Music has a unique capacity to impact our emotions and behaviour. It can stimulate memory, regulate mood, and be a medium for self-expression and communication.

Musicgrace specialises in using Neurologic Music Therapy® to support rehabilitation for people with neurological disorders across Brisbane. We also have extensive experience working with children, teenagers, adults, and older adults. We are committed to making music therapy available to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Our Core Clinical Music Therapy Services

NDIS Music Therapy

NDIS Music Therapy

Unlock your potential with music therapy designed to support your NDIS goals. From building communication skills to managing emotions and developing independence, we work alongside you to create meaningful progress.

Whether you’re looking to improve daily living skills, build capacity, or access therapeutic supports, our registered music therapists work collaboratively with you, your family, and your support team to achieve outcomes that matter.

Aged Care Support

Aged Care Support

Enhance quality of life, preserve memories, and maintain cognitive function through therapeutic music experiences tailored for older Australians in residential care or at home.

Our music therapy programmes support aged care residents and home care recipients to remain engaged, connected, and enriched through meaningful musical experiences that honour their life stories and preferences.

Neurologic Music Therapy

Neurologic Music Therapy® (NMT™)

Evidence-based interventions for individuals with neurological conditions including stroke, brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia. Our NMT™-trained therapists use music to support rehabilitation and recovery.

Neurologic Music Therapy® is an advanced, research-based approach that addresses cognitive, sensory, and motor functions affected by neurological diseases. Our specialised techniques help create new neuropathways to improve brain function and support rehabilitation goals.

Musicgrace Community Programs

Community Programs

  • Flexible scheduling to suit your routine

Ideal for: Individuals seeking focused, personalised support for specific therapeutic goals such as speech and language development, cognitive rehabilitation, emotional regulation, or motor skill improvement.

Group Music Therapy Sessions

Group music therapy is beneficial for social interaction and collaborative learning. Regular music therapy sessions can enrich the life of residential communities, such as aged care facilities, or connect people to each other within local communities.
What to expect:

  • Group sessions can be conducted at your premises or at external locations such as community centres, disability centres, rehabilitation centres, or aged care facilities across Brisbane
  • Group music therapy sessions run for one hour
  • Programmes designed to foster connection, engagement, and shared therapeutic experiences
  • Suitable for various group sizes and settings

Ideal for: Aged care facilities, disability service providers, community organisations, schools, and any setting where people can benefit from shared musical experiences and social connection.

Session Frequency and Commitment

For both individual and group sessions, it is recommended that sessions take place regularly in order to work towards goals and see positive outcomes. Regular engagement allows for skill development, relationship building, and measurable progress.

Session frequency can be negotiated depending on the needs and budget of the individual or organisation. Typical arrangements include:

  • Weekly sessions for consistent progress
  • Fortnightly sessions for maintenance and ongoing support
