Community Music Programs
Bringing People Together Through Music
Inclusive music groups and workshops that bring people together to share, connect, and create through music. From community choirs to social music-making sessions, these programs foster belonging, joy, and meaningful connections in a supportive group environment.
Our Vision for Community Music
We envision Brisbane communities where everyone has access to joyful, inclusive music-making experiences that foster connection, belonging, and wellbeing through shared creativity.
Our community programs are designed to:
- Create spaces for belonging where everyone is welcome, regardless of musical experience or ability
- Build social connections through shared musical experiences
- Foster joy and creativity in supportive group environments
- Celebrate diversity by honoring different musical traditions and cultural backgrounds
- Strengthen communities by bringing people together around music
- Make music accessible to people from all walks of life
Through partnerships with community organisations, local councils, libraries, churches, and neighborhood centers, we deliver music programs where they’re needed most.

We adapt programs to ensure everyone can participate meaningfully, regardless of physical, cognitive, or sensory abilities. Accessible instruments, flexible participation options, and supportive facilitation ensure inclusive experiences.
Culturally Responsive
We respect and celebrate diverse cultural backgrounds and musical traditions. Programs can incorporate songs, instruments, and musical styles meaningful to your community's cultural identity.
No Musical Experience Required
You don't need to read music, play instruments, or consider yourself "musical" to participate. Our programs welcome everyone exactly where they are.
Safe, Welcoming Spaces
We create non-judgmental environments where participants feel safe to express themselves, take creative risks, and connect authentically with others.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between community music programs and music therapy?
Community music programs focus on social connection, joy, and creative music-making in group settings. While facilitated by music professionals and supportive of wellbeing, these programs are not individualised music therapy sessions. They’re open groups where people come together to share musical experiences. For therapeutic, goal-directed music therapy, see our NDIS, Aged Care, or NMT™ services.
Do I need to be able to sing or play instruments?
Not at all! Community music programs welcome everyone regardless of musical ability or experience. We provide accessible instruments and adapt activities so everyone can participate meaningfully.
What if I can't read music?
That’s completely fine. Reading music is not required. We teach songs by ear, provide lyric sheets, and use call-and-response and other accessible approaches.
Can I bring a support person or family member?
Yes, in most programs. Contact us to discuss your specific needs and we’ll ensure appropriate support is available.
Are programs suitable for people with disabilities?
Absolutely. We create inclusive programs adapted for all abilities. We work with participants and support workers to ensure everyone can engage comfortably.
